On International Women’s Day 2023, Jaaims celebrates women’s achievements and contributions to society whilst recognising that significant inequalities still remain. With this year’s theme of #EmbraceEquity, we want to highlight that achieving equal opportunity is not enough and we must go further to strengthen laws, shift social and gender norms and provide a safe and inclusive environment to enable women to thrive. We need more women leaders, entrepreneurs and innovators to advance the human race, otherwise as a society, we will fail to reach our full potential.
This year at Jaaims, our mission is to help close the gap of gender equality in technology. Only 22% of women make up AI workers globally and 44.2% of AI demonstrates gender bias. Through improving our own practices, involving our partners and challenging ourselves everyday to meet our mission we can play our part in embracing equity, increase awareness and eliminate all forms of disparity and inequality.
